Welcome to Amy Sylvia Coaching | Inner Compass Co.

Proudly located on the Sapphire Coast, New South Wales, Australia.

I’m a personal trainer, group fitness teacher, pilates teacher and nutrition and lifestyle coach with over 20 years experience in the health and fitness industry.

I’m a mum of two human kids, two furry kids (dogs), four crazy chickens and when I’m not working I’m pestering my kids to come for a bike ride or go for a dip in the ocean. I’m also an athlete, dabbling in competitive bodybuilding (bikini division!).

I love being outdoors far more than being stuck inside. You’ll find me either training, hitting the mountain bike trails or (coffee in hand) heading to the beach.

I’m based on the far south coast, known as the Sapphire Coast of NSW.

What do I do exactly?

I work with people who want more than quick health fixes - those seeking a personalised, professional and long-term approach to their health and fitness.

Online via personalised programs I help you navigate the tough stuff, including post-partum depletion, gut health issues (bloating, gas, inconsistent bowel movements, under-eating, understanding macros), hormone support, inflammation, fluid retention.

I’ve worked with clients managing complex conditions such as coeliac disease, Hashimotos and thyroid conditions, PCOS and endometriosis. I support normal everyday people to move better through improved technique, proper fuel for their lifestyle and provide support and strategy for how to stay on-track when life throws those curveballs.

My online coaching combines tailored nutrition and training plans designed to help you rebuild your health and vitality, build strength, improve energy, and create sustainable habits that carry into every part of your life but I also offer face to face training in the form of group fitness.

This isn’t about shrinking yourself.

Group Fitness Classes

Group Fitness Classes

Group fitness sessions offer a motivating, social and cost-effective way to improve strength, cardio fitness and overall wellbeing. Led by a qualified coach, each session combines structured warm-ups, mixed-intensity work blocks and targeted cool-downs to deliver a safe, effective workout suitable for a range of abilities. Programs are designed to be scalable - options and progressions are provided so beginners feel supported while more experienced participants can challenge themselves.

Common class types include:

Strength and Conditioning: compound lifts, bodyweight movements and resistance-based circuits to build muscle and functional strength.

Functional Movement: mobility, stability and movement pattern training to reduce injury risk and enhance everyday performance.

Benefits:

Community and accountability: group energy helps sustain motivation and consistency.

Efficient coaching: one-to-many instruction makes expert guidance affordable.

Variety and structure: planned sessions prevent plateaus and keep training enjoyable.

Scalable intensity: coaches provide regressions and progressions to suit all fitness levels.

What to expect:

Arrive a few minutes early for check-in and a quick briefing. Wear comfortable training gear and bring a water bottle and towel. Sessions use minimal equipment (dumbbells, kettlebells, mats, bands) but options are provided for bodyweight-only classes. Coaches offer technique cues, modifications and encouragement throughout.

Who it’s for:

Group fitness suits anyone seeking regular, guided exercise in a supportive setting - from beginners building confidence to seasoned exercisers looking for community and structure.
